Magical and well-answered FAQ

Do you take commissions?

I am currently very much open to commercial commissions.

I have a sweet, sweet spot for bands and books, so I’d particularly LOVE to work on those kinds of projects.

Reach out via email or the contact form down here with your timeline and budget and as many details as you can. I love them.
The earlier you get in touch about your project, the better - keep in mind that I work with a pen, which is indeed a very slow technique.

With that being said, I’ll accept projects that tickle something in my brain, if I don’t follow that I’d probably stop drawing.

I do not take on personal commissions - pet portraits/private gifts - for a number of reasons.

Can I get a tattoo out of your drawings?

I'm SO honored that you want to get a tattoo of one of my weirdos *doing little jumps and swirls.

Good news, YOU CAN!
I'd love just one thing in return: BUY SOMETHING!
Show your unconditional love to these misfits and buy them! (I'm serious, bills keep coming back omg is it normal?).

I also have a “Tattoo-designs” section in my shop, here:
https://sara-baun.myshopify.com/collections/flash-tattoo-designs?page=1
you can find some small designs I did as tattoo ideas; buying that permission will grant you a good-res file of the design you choose.

If you can’t find the design you’d like, the “BUY SOMETHING” is the way to go.
Due to art theft in the past, I do not share good-res files of my drawings, if you search my IG or website, I’m sure you’ll find an image that will do the job for the tattoo artists.

Oh and remember to give credit and keep the design recognizable.

Also, would you mind sharing your tats once they're done and tag me? Seeing that could really make my day. Or week.

How long will it take you to ship weirdos after I place an order?

Usually up to two weeks.
Sometimes a few days more than that.
I know, it’s a bit long, but doesn’t the wait make things better?

The prints are all pre-orders and original pieces always want a specific document to travel out of Italy – for which I depend on one kind soul that always wants to help me, but is often trapped in a ruthless bureaucracy machine.

There’s a very long chain of tasks to get these things done that you don’t see.

As a one-slow-but-thorough-person-business, every ounce of patience is very much appreciated.

How do you ship said orders, uh?

Prints are shipped in sturdy and stubborn tubes, they do the job.

Original, unframed pieces are shipped flat with at least one piece of wooden board or wood pulp board. Unbendable – by far, at least.

Original, framed pieces?
I wrap them as if they're heading into a demolition derby. It’s basically a bulletproof vault made of layers upon layers of protection. The courier might try their worst, but my packaging is built like a tank. It’ll take you a significant amount of time to get them out of there.
Sorry not sorry. Weirdos’ safety first.

Whatever you receive, RECYCLE THEM RIGHT, pretty please.
That’s a cute order, not a begging request.

You read it all? You sure? Mh, ok, go ahead then. I'm very curious to hear you out.
